Year 6 pupils at St Gregory’s Catholic Academy in Stockton have been putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test by taking part in the Fiver Challenge.

Turning £5 into Business Ideas

Starting with just £5, the children worked in teams to develop their own business ideas. They demonstrated impressive creativity by:

  • Designing unique company logos
  • Planning products or services
  • Working collaboratively to shape their ideas

Pitching with Confidence

Once their ideas were developed, pupils presented their businesses to Mr Brennan. They showed confidence and enthusiasm as they pitched their concepts, explaining how they planned to grow their ventures.

Investment and Excitement

Mr Brennan was highly impressed by the quality of the ideas and presentations, choosing to invest in the pupils’ businesses. This added an extra level of excitement and motivation for the teams.

Looking Ahead

The challenge has given pupils valuable experience in teamwork, problem-solving and enterprise skills. There is now great anticipation as everyone looks forward to seeing how the businesses develop.

This engaging project highlights St Gregory’s commitment to preparing pupils with real-world skills and encouraging innovation from an early age.
