Pupils at St Gregory’s Catholic Academy in Stockton are developing big ambitions and thinking ahead to their futures through a creative and inspiring careers curriculum.
Building Ambition from an Early Age
Across the school, children are encouraged to explore their interests, develop new skills and begin thinking about the possibilities available to them in the future. From imaginative play to structured learning, pupils are supported to grow in confidence, aspiration and ambition.
Exploring Future Careers
As part of this work, children have been reflecting on what they might like to become when they are older. Ideas have included a wide range of exciting roles, such as:
- Lifeguard
- Weather reporter
- Surgeon
- Nurse
- Landscape gardener
- Artist
- Builder
This open-ended exploration helps pupils understand that there are many different paths they can take.
Encouraging Confidence and Self-Belief
Through creative activities and discussions, children are reminded that their future is full of possibilities. The message is clear: they can aim high and be whatever they want to be.
This approach reflects St Gregory’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are confident in their abilities and excited about their futures.
