Nurture Club runs every Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime and is led by Miss Keen, Mrs Gilbert, and Miss Buckle, with fantastic support from our Wellbeing Ambassadors.

This club provides a calm, supportive space for children who may find the playground challenging, whether due to ongoing needs or temporary challenges such as bereavement or periods of emotional vulnerability.

Class teachers can nominate pupils by giving them a Nurture Club lanyard. These children head into lunch first and then join the club at 12:30pm.

Our Wellbeing Ambassadors help fund and run the club, where children can enjoy games, drawing, Lego, fidgets, paint sticks, crafts, and friendship bracelets. Children can also choose to have quiet time or talk with staff, ambassadors, or friends in a safe and welcoming environment.

Miss Keen and Mrs Gilbert are key members of our Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team. They support the children who attend Nurture Club each week, offering dedicated group sessions or 1:1 time whenever it is needed. They also guide and support our Wellbeing Ambassadors, helping them to confidently assist the children who access Nurture Club.

Miss Buckle also supports Nurture Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is a fantastic TA, and the children warm to her immediately - she brings a fun, child‑like enthusiasm that they absolutely love. She is hardworking, dedicated, and genuinely committed to helping improve our school’s wellbeing and mental health provision.
