Excitement Builds for the Reading Raffle

At St Gregory’s Catholic Academy in Stockton, reading has taken centre stage as pupils work hard to fill their reading jars before the whole‑school reading raffle in just three days’ time. The enthusiasm is contagious, with children across all classes eagerly taking part.

A Community Effort to Foster a Love of Books

This reading buzz wouldn’t be possible without the brilliant teamwork of parents, staff and of course the children themselves. Their dedication to supporting regular reading at home is helping to nurture confidence, imagination and a genuine love of storytelling.

Inspiring Future Bookworms

The school’s reading pledge has sparked excitement and motivation throughout the community. As Julia Donaldson beautifully said, “Inspiring a child to read is one of the greatest gifts you can give.” St Gregory’s is certainly doing just that - and doing it brilliantly.
