A Day of Pirate-Themed Fun and Learning
It was all hands on deck at St Gregory’s Catholic Academy in Stockton as children in Little Acorns and Reception enjoyed a fantastic pirate-themed day filled with adventure, exploration and imaginative play.
The excitement began from the moment the children arrived at school, where they were greeted at the gate by Pirate Pete, setting the scene for a day of swashbuckling fun.
Learning Through Play
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of pirate-inspired activities across both indoor and outdoor learning environments. The carefully planned experiences encouraged children to explore, investigate and develop their skills through engaging and interactive play.
The themed activities captured the children's imaginations and provided wonderful opportunities for learning, creativity and discovery.
Treasure Maps and Hidden Treasure
One of the highlights of the day was a treasure hunt, where young pirates used maps to navigate their way to hidden treasure.
To their delight, some of the children successfully followed the clues and uncovered real treasure, making the adventure even more memorable.
